A Response

May 30, 2014

People have asked if I am teaching art during these sessions.  Yes, some technical skills are conveyed but more importantly we play and create side by side.  I always work on the same size piece with the same materials as my client.  This creates balance and furthers the discussion as the session unfolds.  It is an intuitive process.  In this picture you can see that I am holding an abstract "transfer" piece made on wood.  I worked with the materials in response to Pamela Morgan's (the client at the time) affinity for them.  I was pleased with the results and owe it to her for inspiring me to go in a compositional direction I normally would not have chosen.
